LGBTQ History: OUT Curriculum Cohort

This institute is held in partnership with the Los Angeles LGBT Center and the ONE Archives Foundation.

The new History-Social Science Framework is asking teachers to incorporate the stories of traditionally marginalized Americans in order to create more inclusive history courses and classrooms. This weeklong program will explore various points in LGBTQ history through readings, presentations by historians, model lessons, and a hands-on exploration of the ONE Archives at the USC Libraries. Participating teachers will work to develop lessons plans centered around a particular LGBTQ historical event. Teachers will be compensated $500 upon completion of a lesson.
