Center X Coaching Partnerships

The mission of Center X Coaching Partnerships is to support schools in becoming self-directed, resourceful, and collaborative communities committed to social justice. This is achieved by valuing individual and collective experiences through instructional coaching and facilitating collaboration designed to increase the collective capacity of the school.

Through Center X Coaching Partnerships, instructional & leadership coaching is focused on strengthening curriculum, deepening teacher content knowledge, improving instructional strategies, understanding student learning, using data-driven inquiry, and supporting educators in being self-directed and resourceful educators.  As integrated members of the school community, Center X Professional Learning Partners (coaches) provide the day-to-day support necessary to support transformative change at schools through their use of Cognitive Coaching® and Adaptive Schools® ways of working.

Furthermore, Center X Coaching Partnerships support schools and districts in growing their leadership capacity by offering the Cognitive Coaching℠ and Adaptive Schools® Foundations Seminars.

 

The Aims of Center X Coaching Partnerships

  • to support schools and districts through instructional & leadership coaching and facilitated collaboration designed to increase the collective capacity of individuals and groups
  • to increase efficacy, consciousness, craftsmanship, flexibility, and interdependence within all members of school and district communities

 

Cognitive Coaching℠ Foundations

The mission of Cognitive Coaching℠ is to produce self-directed persons with the cognitive capacity for excellence both independently and as members of a community. Research indicates that teaching is a complex intellectual activity and that teachers who think at higher levels produce students who are higher achieving, more cooperative, and better problem solvers. It is the invisible skills of teaching, the thinking processes that underlie instructional decisions, which produce superior instruction. Cognitive Coaching℠ is a research-based model that capitalizes upon and enhances teachers’ cognitive processes.

Adaptive Schools®  Foundation

The Adaptive Schools®  Foundation training presents a productive, practical set of ideas and tools for developing collaborative groups in becoming effective and better equipped to resolve complex issues around student learning. The work of the Adaptive Schools® training is to develop the resources and capacities of the organization and of individuals to cohesively respond to the changing needs of students and society.

Advanced Cognitive Coaching℠

For educators who have completed the Cognitive CoachingSM Foundations training, the Advanced Cognitive Coaching 6-day workshop provides participants with deepened knowledge and skills for refinement of a coach’s meditational toolbox.
