Quotes from Participants
The support from UCLA NBTC has been exceptional. While the process was initially confusing, the guidance and strategies provided were invaluable in helping me navigate Components 2 and 3 without feeling overwhelmed or giving up. This support has been incredibly valuable and essential.
Start early, don’t wait until the last minute; attend the sessions because it helps fine tune and confirm what to, how to, etc.
…the process has made me a more thoughtful teacher. I think about everything I present, and how it is relevant to my students. I feel so empowered as an educator to be on the other side of this process now.
I was burnt out. Going through this process has reignited my energy, reflection, and outlook towards teaching.
I have become a better educator because I am intentional and reflective when planning my lessons. I create opportunities for my students to assess their work and build relationships with them by talking to them about their interests, progress, and next steps.
My certification was in early literacy, but the process also impacted the way I teach other subjects, how I work with my colleagues and admin, and the relationships I build with my students and their families.
I loved the support from UCLA.
