The UCLA Principal Leadership Institute and the Partnership for LA Schools celebrated their ongoing collaboration to prepare the next generation of school leaders. Since 2015, the two organizations have worked together to build a better future for LA Area schools and the students and communities they serve. With funding from the Nicholas Endowment, which has been a critical supporter of the work of the collaboration, alumni were brought together to share ideas and innovations taking place at their schools. It was also an opportunity to discuss what school leaders need given world events and the changing social and political context.
Special guest of the event was Dr. Jarvis Givens, Harvard Professor of Education and author of “Fugitive Pedagogy.”
