This 2-day workshop for 3rd grade teachers, co- sponsored by UCLA’s Mapping Indigenous Los Angeles, CSU Dominguez Hills History Project, and the UCLA History-Geography Project, will explore Los Angeles’ indigenous history and indigenous present. Join us and Tongva educators for an interactive experience that will include content speakers, exploration of curriculum and cooking with native plants.
Location: Kuruvungna Springs Cultural Center and Museum (near University H.S.)
Fee: $30
includes breakfast, materials, book, and resources.
