Leading from Identity for Empowerment

All educators are leaders who impact students, families, colleagues, communities, and systems over the course of their careers. Join us while we explore who we are, who we want to be, and who we need to be to radically reimagine our work. Our goal is for groups and individuals to become highly conscious of their identity so that they can effectively empower people and  systems.

Facilitated by Natalie Irons, Associate Director, Instructional Coaching Programs and Erin Powers, NBPTS Director

Fee: $260 for the series or $60 for individual sessions
Session 1 – Exploring Self and Identity
July 7, 2020  9:00am – 10:30am

Who are we? What are our values, beliefs, lived experiences? What are the things that you need in yourself to be able to support others?

Session 2 – Strengthening Relationships
July 14, 2020  9:00am – 10:30am

How might our identity impact how we attend to the needs of others? How can we strengthen relationships to promote conscious, caring, and mindful working environments?

Session 3 – Preparing for the Unknown
July 21, 2020  9:00am – 10:30am

How can we work together through change? What might it look like to acknowledge uncertainty and the pressures leaders face?

Session 4 – Nourishing the Vision
July 28, 2020  9:00am – 10:30am

How can we develop a responsive vision that will support all community members? What might it look like to confront systemic oppression?

Session 5 – Finding your Compass
August 4, 2020  9:00am – 10:30am

What might it look like for us to be the leaders we want to be in our own contexts? How will we develop a collective consciousness that can inform our thoughts, words, and actions?

Fee: $260 for the series or $60 for individual sessions

All refunds will be charged a 15% administrative fee.
NO REFUNDS will be issued five business days prior to the start of the Seminar.
