Supporting K-12 Students who Speak African American English and Chicano English

Participants will learn:
- linguistic features of Standard English Learners (i.e. Chicano English and African American English)
- how these linguistic features show up in classroom spaces (oral, reading, and writing) and impact classroom dynamics
- specific instructional approaches and strategies that center and affirm all languages in the classroom
