The UCLA Writing Project's Summer Invitational Institute invites educators from various disciplines to enhance their writing instruction through workshops, collaborative discussions, and personal writing development in our free 4-week program. The application deadline is March 24, 2025.
Participate alongside other K-12 California educators and paraprofessionals in free workshops that feature the California K-12 Computer Science Standards. Most educators are eligible to receive a $125 stipend for each 3-hour workshop scheduled in the spring.

Three writing workshops for Los Angeles area teachers focused on Unlocking Literacy. Each course—Narrative Writing, Analytical Writing and Argument Writing—guides teacher participants to teach explicitly the cognitive reading and writing strategies that propel English learners to grow as writers.
This 2-day session helps teachers build grade 3-5 students’ understanding of equal sharing through hands-on strategies and real-world applications.
This 2-day session supports teachers to foster students’ math algebraic fluency through engaging, hands-on strategies and interactive activities.
