Join us for a morning filled with inspiring and empowering stories from teachers and collaborators in our shared journey. Our presenters will be sharing from their CGI practice and experiences aimed at promoting mathematical understanding, centering student thinking, and infusing joy into the teaching and learning of mathematics.
The CGI 2025 Regional Conference calls our community of educators to consider how Cognitively Guided Instruction and the 2023 California Mathematics Framework invite us to ground our practice in the mathematical brilliance of students.
During this 3-day workshop, we will focus on the development of children’s mathematical thinking in grades K-5. We will explore how children’s understandings of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division while developing how students construct concepts of place value.
During this 2-Day session, we will focus on the development of children's math thinking in grades 3-5 and explore children's understandings of fractions. This session is only open to participants of the CGI Workshop 1 on July 14, 15 & 18.
