Unlocking Literacy: Teaching Narrative Reading and Writing to Multilingual Learners
Spark students’ imaginations and creativity while building their cognitive toolkit reading and understanding narratives and writing their own, all while building language proficiency. In this two-day workshop, participants will be introduced to UCLA Writing Project’s approach to Pathway Strategies for Narrative Writing - supporting multilingual learners as they read narratives for content and craft.
CGI Equal Share (Grades 3 – 5) + optional Learning Lab
This 2-day session helps teachers build grade 3-5 students’ understanding of equal sharing through hands-on strategies and real-world applications.
Exploring Math Fluency and Functions through Playful Collaboration PD (Grades 5 – 8) + optional Learning Lab
This 2-day session supports teachers to foster students’ math algebraic fluency through engaging, hands-on strategies and interactive activities.
Integrating AI: The Future of Math Education (Grades 4-12) – FULL
Participants will discover how AI can personalize learning, enhance problem-solving, and foster student engagement. Through hands-on activities and discussions, teachers will learn to use AI-driven platforms, adapt lesson plans for modern technologies, and prepare students for a data-driven future.
Young Mathematicians: Equal Sharing and Fractions for Grade 3-5 Students
In this session, 3rd-5th grade students will explore grouping problems, with emphasis on algebraic reasoning, and students' fraction understanding.
Young Mathematicians: Playful Fluency for Grade 5-8 Students
In this 4-day workshop, 5th through 8th grade students will develop their math fluency with a focus on foundational algebra concepts through interactive games and hands-on activities.
Young Mathematicians: Road to Calculus for Grade 9-12 Students
In this session, 9th-12th grade students will learn the basics of calculus.
Young Mathematicians: Road to AP Statistics for Grade 9-12 Students
In this session, 9th-12th grade students will gain the foundational skills needed for success in AP Statistics, setting the stage for advanced learning and future opportunities.
Young Mathematicians: Peer Tutoring Strategies for Developing Leaders for Grade 7-12 Students
In this session, 7th-12th grade students will learn to contribute meaningfully to their school community while promoting collaboration and academic achievement.
Secondary Learning Lab (Grades 9-12)
This two-day experience for teachers is the opportunity for you to apply calculus and statistics strategies in real classrooms.
