Session 3 will discuss the development of the reading brain and will provide a platform for understanding how a new and expanded conceptualization of foundational skills, fluency, and deep reading processes expands practice in the teaching of reading.
During this session, early childhood educators will notice and study the development of young children’s mathematical thinking. We will explore how children’s understandings of counting, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division develop.
