Center X Coaching
The UCLA Center X coaching community supports schools in developing sustainable, student-focused impact through collaboration and reflection with classroom teachers, site and district administrators, local parents, and community members. Our coaching work centers around strengthening curriculum, deepening content knowledge, improving instructional strategies, understanding student learning, using data-driven inquiry, and supporting educators in being self-directed and resourceful educators.
Our Professional Learning Partners (instructional coaches) are:
- Cognitive Coaches℠
- Trained in Adaptive Schools
- Teacher leaders from the California Subject Matter Projects (CSMP)
- Research practitioners in theory, practice and pedagogy; social justice issues; and deep content knowledge
Our Professional Learning Partners wear the different hats of:
- Presenters of Professional Development
- Facilitators of collaborative groups
- Collaborators in lesson planning, curriculum design, and professional development
- Cognitive Coaches℠
