During this 3-day workshop, we will focus on the development of children’s mathematical thinking in grades K-5. We will explore how children’s understandings of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division while developing how students construct concepts of place value.
This workshop guides teacher participants to teach explicitly the cognitive reading and writing strategies that propel English learners to grow as writers. Teachers will leave with practical, ready-to-implement resources for cultivating academic literacy in their classrooms, ensuring that learners are prepared for success in all academic areas.
