Addressing Social Justice in Science Spaces – Session 2

June 5, 2021 9:00 am - 11:00 am

June 5, 2021
9:00 – 11:00 am

Join us for session 2 of our Social Justice in Science series as we continue to explore how bias, identity and community are topics historically left out of science curriculum. Together, we will engage in dialogue and experience explicit approaches to incorporate these social justice aspects into our science classrooms.

Come and connect in a space designed to stretch, reflect, and shape the ways we incorporate local neighborhoods into our understanding of health, genetics, and the environment.

* Attending session one is not a requirement to register for session two.

Fee: $10

Special Guest

Kenjus T. Watson teaches courses on Educational Inequality, Urban Education, Critical Race Theory, and Social Identity and Group Behavior in the Education Department at Occidental College.
