Since its founding in 2001, ECS has grown from 100 students at one school to over 1,500 6th-12th graders at four unique campuses that each provide interdisciplinary curriculum and authentic assessment, as well as environmental and experiential learning to underserved learners in South Los Angeles (Inglewood, Gardena and Lawndale). At each of our schools, teachers collaborate to build and refine curricula, engage in weekly professional development, and all are assigned outstanding instructional coaches.
At ECS, our goal is to help new teachers successfully enter the profession and find fulfilling work with an organization that reimagines public education in low-income communities of color.
