“I think the most rewarding part of the program was learning how to implement social justice and CT [computational thinking] into the curriculum. This program has challenged me to be creative and always think critically about my lessons and how information is presented to my students.”

STEM+CS Residency Program Student Work

Community Inquiry Project

In Year 1, candidates produce a written project documenting their reflections on their background and past educational experiences, which includes a community map.

Project Based Learning Project

In Year 2, candidates draw on their residency experiences to develop a curriculum plan that is based on the Project Based Learning (PBL) methodology. Students produce posters that are presented at the annual PBL Showcase event.
