CalAPA – California Administrator Performance Assessments

The California Administrator Performance Assessment (CalAPA) is the state-required performance assessment for candidates seeking a Preliminary Administrative Services Credential (PASC). It measures a candidate’s ability to apply leadership skills and the California Administrator Performance Expectations (CAPE) in authentic school settings.

CalAPA consists of three leadership cycles:

  • Leadership Cycle 1: Analyzing Data to Inform School Improvement and Promote Equity
  • Leadership Cycle 2: Facilitating Communities of Practice
  • Leadership Cycle 3: Supporting Teacher Growth

Compressing Videos

Mac – iMovie

Guide Showing the Steps

  1. Open iMovie
  2. Create a New Project and Select Movie
  3. Click on the Import button or Press ⌘ + I
  4. Select Your Footage and Press Import Selected
    Now your files are imported into iMovie and are ready for editing!
  5. Drag a Clip into the Timeline
  6. Adjust and Trim Video Clips by Dragging the Edges (if necessary)
  7. Repeat with Other Clips (if necessary)
  8. Press the Export Button
  9. Select ‘Export File’ or ‘Email’ (lowest file size) and change the Resolution & Quality settings so that the file size is small enough (less than 200 MB would be good)
  10. Click Next and then Publish
