CalAPA – California Administrator Performance Assessments
The California Administrator Performance Assessment (CalAPA) is the state-required performance assessment for candidates seeking a Preliminary Administrative Services Credential (PASC). It measures a candidate’s ability to apply leadership skills and the California Administrator Performance Expectations (CAPE) in authentic school settings.
CalAPA consists of three leadership cycles:
- Leadership Cycle 1: Analyzing Data to Inform School Improvement and Promote Equity
- Leadership Cycle 2: Facilitating Communities of Practice
- Leadership Cycle 3: Supporting Teacher Growth

Compressing Videos
Mac – iMovie
- Open iMovie
- Create a New Project and Select Movie
- Click on the Import button or Press ⌘ + I
- Select Your Footage and Press Import Selected
Now your files are imported into iMovie and are ready for editing! - Drag a Clip into the Timeline
- Adjust and Trim Video Clips by Dragging the Edges (if necessary)
- Repeat with Other Clips (if necessary)
- Press the Export Button
- Select ‘Export File’ or ‘Email’ (lowest file size) and change the Resolution & Quality settings so that the file size is small enough (less than 200 MB would be good)
- Click Next and then Publish
