Teacher Initiated Inquiry Projects (TIIP) Overview
Teacher Initiated Inquiry Projects provided grants for teacher teams.
TIIP Program Overview
Funding for the TIIP grants has ended. We are incredibly proud of the work of the 80 teacher teams and the 25 individuals who participated in the TIIP Leadership Academy. TIIP sought to promote teacher innovation and creativity by providing financial support to teachers as they identified, planned and implemented their own professional learning. Projects funded through TIIP represented a spectrum of disciplines, grade levels and schools.
Impact of TIIP Work
Cohorts I and II
Our TIIP work took a variety of forms. The first two cohorts were awarded up to $30,000 for a two-year funding cycle to implement their learning. As a part of their work, teams are asked to disseminate their findings to their school communities and beyond through the creation of Team Portfolios. Team portfolios can be accessed through the showcase below:
We had 26 Teacher Teams participating in Cohort III. These Teams were awarded $15,000 for a 16-month funding cycle. Given the shorter time frame, Teams did not create web portfolios. However, they were asked to share their learning with others. Click on the link below to see some examples of what they shared.

Our last TIIP cohort took on a different configuration. Teams were significantly larger and included school site administrators. These teams created video reflections to document the impact of their TIIP work. Those reflections can be accessed here:
