Fourteen Faculty from UCLA Selected to Annual List of Publicly Influential Scholars

Wasserman Dean Marcelo Suárez-Orozco and 14 UCLA faculty members comprise the largest number of scholars from the University of California system selected to the 2020 “Rick Hess Straight Up Edu-Scholar Public Influence Rankings,” which is published annually in Education Week. UCLA GSE&IS is represented by Eva Baker, Megan Franke, Patricia Gándara, Louis Gomez, Tyrone Howard, Sylvia Hurtado, Pedro Noguera, Jeannie Oakes, Gary Orfield, John Rogers, Mike Rose, and Carola Suárez-Orozco.
