This program, offered with support from the Library of Congress and in collaboration with the History Project at UC Irvine, will provide teachers with an opportunity to delve into the many resources of the Library of Congress website through hands-on historical investigation activities. We will examine movements in the U.S. for civil rights and the legacy of these movements through readings, presentations by historians, and an exploration of curriculum.
A $100 stipend will be paid to participants upon completion of the program. University extension units will also be available for a fee.
Location: Claremont Graduate University
