Celebrating Our Newly Certified and Renewed National Board Certified Teachers

Congratulations from the UCLA National Board Project & Center X

UCLA Center X proudly celebrates this year’s educators who have earned National Board Certification or Renewed National Board Certification through the UCLA National Board for Professional Teaching Standards Project. This achievement represents the highest level of professional excellence in teaching and reflects a profound commitment to equitable, reflective, and transformative classroom practice.

National Board Certification requires educators to deeply analyze their instructional decisions, student learning, and content expertise. Completing or renewing this process can strengthen not only individual classrooms, but entire school communities.

Throughout the year, candidates participated in workshops, coaching, community, and shared reflection, with involvement differing by individuals. The UCLA National Board Project is honored to have supported each educator on this journey.

Honoring Collaborative Accomplishment: CTA‑Sponsored John Muir Middle School Educators

This year, four educators from John Muir Middle School achieved National Board Certification, supported by CTA, their administrators, and the two‑year UCLA‑CTA BIPOC cohort. Their school honored them with a red‑carpet breakfast to celebrate their commitment, collaboration, and professional excellence.
