Center X Partnerships
The California Subject Matter Projects (CSMP) of Center X believe in connecting our work with teachers to districts’ plans for improvement in student achievement. Each project has established partnerships with districts in order to be a part of long term plans for change by collaborating with teachers, site and district administrators, and parents. The focus of the partnership work is around strengthening curriculum, deepening teacher content knowledge, improving instructional strategies, understanding student learning and creating a college-going culture all connected to improving opportunities for success in academic classes. The projects customize professional development services to support the objectives of the partner districts. Some of our partnerships include all five Subject Matter Projects working together while others are focused on a particular content. District partnerships include providing professional development institutes and workshops, coaching teachers, demonstrating lessons in classrooms and supporting teachers in implementation of instructional materials.
