Application Instructions
In order to be considered for Fall quarter 2008 admission, your Department of Education admission file must be complete with BOTH applications and required supporting documents postmarked on or before January 7, 2008.

In order for your admission file to be considered complete, it must contain the following items by the required deadline and submitted for review:

1. UCLA APPLICATION FOR GRADUATE ADMISSION 2008-2009 and $60 application fee, submitted online.
2. GSE&IS TEACHER EDUCATION PROGRAM APPLICATION for Fall quarter 2008, submitted online.
3. In addition to the above, you must include:
   
   
   
   • Curriculum vitae or Resume (documentation of volunteer and/or work experience)
   • Statement of Purpose (See Supplemental Application)
   • Three letters of recommendation
   • Two official transcripts from all institutions attended after secondary school
   • Scholarship Essay, if applicable
   • Group Interview Requirement
     (All applicants to the Teacher Education Program MUST attend a Group Interview as part of the admissions process. Group Interviews will be held in Moore Hall on the UCLA campus. Out-of-state/country Applicants ONLY: If you are residing outside of the state of California and/or the United States from September 1, 2007 - January 27, 2008, you MUST submit a videotape addressing a specific question with your application materials by the January 7, 2008 deadline.)
   • Official score report of TOEFL, if required
   • Official CBEST score report
   • Official Subject Matter score report(s): CSET
     – OR –
   • Official Subject Matter Preparation (“waiver”) program letter with authorized signature - this option available to candidates applying for the secondary emphasis ONLY.

   NOTE: Reporting your test scores for the TOEFL, CBEST, and/or CSET on the Teacher Education Program Application is not sufficient. Official score reports must be submitted. In the absence of official score reports, a copy of the exam registration receipt showing the appropriate test date must accompany your application packet.

All of these items must be submitted directly to the Education Department postmarked no later than the January 7, 2008 deadline. Please mail them to:
