AP Readiness Program
ACADEMIC YEAR PROGRAM
The AP Readiness Academic Year Program provides support for both teachers
and students in Advanced Placement science and math courses. Throughout
the academic year, students and their instructors come to UCLA for AP
Readiness sessions. Working with master AP teachers, both new AP
teachers and students build a strong conceptual foundation in their
subject areas that will allow them to excel in their Advanced Placement
courses. This academy model gives both teachers and students
involvement in a support system that reinforces the AP curricula.
The program is offered in AP Biology, AP Calculus, AP Chemistry, AP
Environmental Science, AP Physics, and AP Computer Science.

SUMMER PROGRAM
The Summer AP Readiness Institutes are designed to train teachers in AP
instruction while preparing students for the AP science and math courses
they will take during the academic year. Through an interactive program
that combines formal instruction with laboratory experiments, students
will develop learning skills and master the prerequisite scientific and
mathematical knowledge to become optimal learners in math and science.
